About the Role
As a Senior Account Management Specialist at Cardinal Health, you are the primary voice for your accounts. You serve as both trusted advisor and strategic partner to an assigned customer base, managing complex relationships while identifying opportunities to deepen engagement and increase value. Your work directly impacts customer retention, revenue growth, and the health systems and providers we serve together.
What You'll Do
- Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with assigned customers through regular communication, account planning, and proactive outreach
- Address billing inquiries, service requests, and escalations with thoroughness and care, ensuring timely resolution
- Identify customer needs and recommend tailored solutions that improve their operations and outcomes
- Collaborate across internal teams to streamline processes, enhance service delivery, and eliminate friction points
- Drive process improvements that benefit both customers and Cardinal Health, translating feedback into actionable change
- Monitor account performance and spend trends to identify expansion and upsell opportunities
- Present quarterly business reviews and demonstrate clear ROI from Cardinal Health solutions
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated success in account management, sales, or customer-facing roles with proven ability to build and maintain relationships
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with comfort across all organizational levels
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to think strategically and act operationally
- Detail orientation and comfort managing multiple accounts and competing priorities
- Experience in healthcare, medical supply, or pharmaceutical industries is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
