About the Role
The City of Sandy Springs is looking for enthusiastic, community-minded individuals to serve in a Recreation Aide role. You'll be the backbone of our recreation operations, helping organize and support programs that bring our community together. From assisting with camps and leagues to helping run special events and maintaining our parks, this position directly impacts thousands of residents who depend on quality recreational opportunities.
What You'll Do
- Support recreation programs, athletic leagues, and seasonal camps by assisting with setup, instruction support, and supervision
- Help organize and staff special events, tournaments, and community gatherings in City parks
- Contribute to daily park and facility operations, ensuring spaces are clean, safe, and ready for public use
- Work with participants ranging from young children to seniors, demonstrating patience and a welcoming attitude
- Help maintain equipment, facilities, and grounds to support an excellent recreation experience
- Support program instructors and coordinators with administrative and logistical tasks
