Tax Manager

Gpac is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead our tax services team in Goodlettsville, Davidson County. This is a full-time opportunity to build and mentor talented tax professionals while advancing your career in a growing public accounting firm with a clear path to Partner level.

About the Role

As Tax Manager at Gpac, you'll provide strategic tax planning and compliance expertise to our diverse client base. This leadership position combines hands-on technical work with team development, allowing you to grow your professional network while building a strong, high-performing department.

What You'll Do

• Lead and develop a team of tax professionals, fostering their technical growth and career progression
• Manage complex tax planning strategies for corporate, partnership, and individual clients
• Prepare and review tax returns, ensure accuracy, and maintain compliance with evolving tax regulations
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide proactive counsel to clients
• Oversee tax engagements from initial planning through completion and delivery
• Participate in business development and strengthen client relationships
• Stay current with tax law changes and communicate updates to the team

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of tax experience in public accounting or corporate tax environment
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance and planning
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor accounting professionals
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• CPA license (or actively pursuing) required or highly preferred
• Proficiency with tax preparation software and accounting technology
• Clear communication skills with both clients and team members
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality work
