Join Ashley Stewart as a Bookkeeper supporting our accounting operations in Warren, Somerset County, New Jersey. We're seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to help manage financial records and daily accounting functions at our busy apparel manufacturing headquarters.
About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site position supporting the accounting team at Apparel Solutions, a NY-NJ manufacturing company with over 20 years of experience serving the fashion industry. Operating facilities across the United States, India, and China, we need an experienced Bookkeeper who can handle the financial documentation and recordkeeping demands of a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and ensure proper classification of financial transactions
- Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense documentation in a timely manner
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a regular basis
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Prepare financial reports and documentation for management and audit purposes
- Record journal entries and adjustments to ensure complete and accurate financial records
- Work with company accounting software and systems to track and document transactions
What We're Looking For
- Proven bookkeeping experience or equivalent education in accounting
- Strong knowledge of general ledger management and accounting principles
- Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet applications
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, professional demeanor and ability to work on-site Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM
