LS Power Development, LLC is hiring a Sr. Transmission Line Engineer to join our team in Lake Chesterfield, Saint Louis County. This is a full-time position for a skilled engineer dedicated to advancing North American transmission infrastructure and reliable power delivery systems.
About the Role
As a Senior Transmission Line Engineer, you'll lead critical projects in the design, engineering, and implementation of transmission infrastructure. You'll apply deep technical expertise to develop solutions that strengthen LS Power's position as a leading provider of power and energy infrastructure across North America.
What You'll Do
- Design and conduct detailed electrical and structural analysis of transmission line systems
- Manage transmission infrastructure projects from conceptual planning through commissioning
- Ensure all work meets NERC standards, IEEE guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Develop technical specifications, engineering reports, and design documentation
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies to meet project objectives
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement across engineering practices
- Support evaluation and optimization of existing transmission assets
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering, or active pursuit of licensure
- 7+ years of professional experience in transmission engineering, power systems design, or related infrastructure roles
- In-depth knowledge of transmission planning, operation, and regulatory frameworks
- Proficiency with industry-standard engineering software and power systems analysis tools
- Strong project management and technical leadership abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
