About the Role
As an Avionics Technician Certifier B2, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and safety of aircraft avionics systems. Working independently, you'll assess maintenance tasks, certify completed work, and ensure compliance with all applicable safety protocols. This position combines hands-on technical expertise with quality assurance responsibility, supporting aircraft readiness and operational safety across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Authorize and certify avionics maintenance work at the system and component level
- Conduct competence assessments on maintenance tasks and personnel qualifications
- Verify adherence to platform-specific safety requirements and regulatory protocols
- Apply Plan, Brief, Execute, Debrief (PBED) methodologies to maintenance operations
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations throughout all work
- Evaluate and manage human factors in maintenance to prevent errors and enhance safety
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of all certified work
- Work independently without direct supervision on certification and authorization duties
What We're Looking For
- Completion of platform-specific safety familiarization training or equivalent qualification
- Formal competence assessment demonstrating mastery of the certification task
- Training in system and component-level avionics maintenance coursework
- Strong understanding of PBED principles and structured maintenance practices
- Demonstrated knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements
- Thorough understanding of human factors in maintenance environments
- Tertiary-level education in aviation, engineering, or related technical discipline
- Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions
