Aligned Talent Acquisition seeks a Restructuring & Special Situations Finance Associate Attorney for its Dallas office. As a full-time associate at a premier AmLaw 50 law firm, you'll provide sophisticated legal counsel to financial institutions and investment funds navigating complex restructuring and special situations transactions.
About the Role
This position offers substantial experience in restructuring law and special situations finance. You'll work on transactions involving distressed debt, capital structure optimization, and strategic financial alternatives with clients ranging from institutional lenders to private credit and private equity sponsors.
What You'll Do
- Counsel lending institutions, credit funds, and investment sponsors on restructuring and special situations matters
- Analyze and structure complex debt arrangements and workout solutions
- Prepare and negotiate documentation for restructuring transactions and financing arrangements
- Conduct due diligence and legal assessments on distressed situations
- Support senior partners on multi-stakeholder transactions
- Provide research and memoranda on capital structure and recovery alternatives
What We're Looking For
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Texas bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission
- Demonstrated interest in restructuring, bankruptcy, or corporate finance
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical abilities
- Ability to manage complex, multi-party transactions
- Professional communication skills and client service mindset

Compensation
This position offers annual compensation of $235,000 to $390,000.
