Senior Product Counsel

ClickHouse seeks a Senior Product Counsel to join our growing legal team in the US. In this full-time role, you'll provide strategic legal guidance that shapes how we build and deliver our industry-leading analytics platform to thousands of enterprises worldwide.

About the Role

As Senior Product Counsel, you'll sit at the intersection of legal strategy and product innovation, ensuring our offerings are architected for compliance, risk management, and market leadership. You'll advise product, engineering, and business leaders as they navigate complex regulatory landscapes while moving fast in real-time analytics, data warehousing, observability, and AI workloads. This is a pivotal role for someone who understands both law and product development.

What You'll Do

• Counsel product and engineering teams on legal and regulatory implications of feature design, architecture decisions, and go-to-market strategies
• Lead legal reviews of product launches, data handling practices, and customer-facing capabilities across our platform
• Develop and enforce product governance frameworks around data privacy, security compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, and emerging standards), and regulatory requirements
• Partner with sales and customer success to review enterprise contracts and resolve product-related legal concerns
• Identify and mitigate legal risks inherent to AI workloads, analytics, and data processing at scale
• Contribute to long-term product strategy and roadmap decisions from a legal and compliance perspective

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of product counsel, legal operations, or in-house counsel experience at a technology or SaaS company
• Deep expertise in data privacy, data protection regulations, and compliance frameworks relevant to data platforms
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, analytics, and modern data engineering
• Excellent judgment, business acumen, and ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders
• Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams in fast-paced, innovation-driven environments
• US-based location required
