Harvard Business Publishing seeks a Director, Human Resources Business Partner to lead strategic people initiatives in Boston, Suffolk County. As a full-time HR leader, you'll partner with senior executives to build organizational capabilities and strengthen our culture of management innovation and lifelong learning.

About the Role

This Director-level position serves as a trusted strategic advisor to business leaders, translating organizational goals into human capital strategy. You'll design and execute comprehensive people initiatives that drive talent excellence, organizational health, and sustained performance across the enterprise.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with C-suite and executive teams to identify strategic workforce needs, define organizational structures, and implement talent strategies
  • Lead employee relations and engagement initiatives, including performance management systems, conflict resolution, and culture-building efforts
  • Direct organizational development programs encompassing succession planning, leadership development, and organizational design
  • Develop and oversee talent acquisition, retention, and compensation frameworks that attract and retain top performers
  • Ensure ongoing HR compliance with employment regulations, labor law, and corporate policy
  • Build and present people analytics dashboards to guide strategic HR and business decisions
  • Cultivate an inclusive, high-performance workplace that reflects our commitment to developing management talent

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in strategic HR business partner, senior HR leadership, or related roles
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with C-suite executives and senior leaders
  • Deep expertise in organizational development, talent strategy, and employee relations
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent executive communication, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline
  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) a plus
