Nurse Manager

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Albuquerque seeks an experienced Nurse Manager to lead clinical nursing operations at our Valencia County, New Mexico facility. In this full-time leadership role, you'll direct patient care excellence, develop your nursing team, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients pursuing rehabilitation and recovery.

About the Role

The Nurse Manager position at our Albuquerque rehabilitation hospital is a full-time opportunity to lead a nursing unit with clinical expertise, compassion, and accountability. You'll oversee daily nursing operations, ensure quality patient care, mentor and supervise nursing staff, and collaborate across departments to support patient outcomes and team performance.

What You'll Do

• Lead and supervise nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and nursing assistants, providing coaching and professional development
• Oversee patient care quality, safety protocols, and compliance with regulatory standards
• Schedule staff and manage unit operations to meet patient census and care demands
• Communicate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Monitor patient outcomes, satisfaction metrics, and unit performance indicators
• Manage unit budgets and resource allocation efficiently
• Foster a collaborative, supportive culture that values both patients and team members

What We're Looking For

• Current RN licensure in New Mexico
• Minimum 3–5 years of nursing experience with at least 1–2 years in a management or leadership role
• Strong clinical knowledge and patient care judgment
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate a nursing team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or hospital settings preferred
• Proficiency with electronic health records and healthcare information systems
