Caribou Thunder, LLC is hiring an Engineering Drafter Level 3 to support our precision radar systems engineering team in Stratmoor Hills, El Paso County, Colorado. This is a full-time position requiring an active DoD Secret Clearance, offering a competitive salary of $90,000–$115,000 annually. About the Role
As an Engineering Drafter Level 3, you'll be responsible for creating and maintaining detailed engineering documentation that ensures accuracy, compliance, and clarity across our radar systems programs. Your work directly supports system design, manufacturing, and compliance with military standards and specifications.
What You'll Do
- Develop, update, and formally release engineering drawings, technical specifications, and as-built documentation for radar systems
- Review and validate layouts, schematics, and assembly drawings for dimensional precision, technical accuracy, and adherence to applicable standards
- Ensure all documentation meets DoD compliance requirements and military specifications
- Collaborate with engineers and program teams to clarify design intent and resolve technical documentation issues
- Maintain version control and documentation traceability throughout the design and manufacturing lifecycle
What We're Looking For
- Active DoD Secret Clearance (required at time of hire)
- Proficiency in engineering CAD software and industry-standard drawing conventions
- Strong knowledge of engineering standards, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and military specifications
- Demonstrated attention to detail with proven ability to catch technical inconsistencies and dimensional errors
- Experience with radar systems, defense contracting, or similar government-sector technical programs
- Ability to work independently while supporting cross-functional teams
