You'll be the expert hands that bring smart home systems, computers, and consumer technology to life in customers' homes, combining technical precision with exceptional service.
About the Role
As an Installation Technician with HelloTech, you're the frontline expert in in-home technology support. You'll travel to customer locations to set up, configure, and optimize a diverse range of tech products and systems. This hands-on position demands both technical proficiency and strong communication skills—you're not just installing equipment, you're ensuring customers understand their new systems and feel confident using them.
What You'll Do
- Install and configure smart home devices, computing systems, and connected technology products in customer homes
- Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve setup problems with precision and efficiency
- Test all systems thoroughly to verify proper operation and customer satisfaction
- Provide clear guidance to customers on product functionality and best practices
- Document all work completed and maintain accurate service records
- Travel to customer locations throughout your service area
- Maintain professionalism and deliver exceptional customer experiences on every call
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience installing or configuring consumer technology products
- Strong technical aptitude with computer systems, networking, and smart home platforms
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your schedule effectively
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and install equipment safely
