About the Role
Olsson is seeking an experienced Civil Design Manager to oversee site design projects from conception through implementation. In this leadership position, you'll direct multidisciplinary teams, manage design workflows, ensure quality standards, and deliver results that meet client objectives and regulatory requirements. You'll be the driving force behind transforming site design concepts into buildable, sustainable solutions.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage site design projects, directing engineers, designers, and support staff through all phases of development
- Oversee design quality, regulatory compliance, and adherence to project schedules and budgets
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to align project vision and requirements
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative, results-oriented design culture
- Apply technical expertise in civil site design, grading, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure planning
- Review design deliverables, specifications, and site plans for accuracy and completeness
- Drive innovation in design solutions while maintaining practicality and cost-effectiveness
What We're Looking For
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in civil engineering or related discipline
- 8+ years of experience in civil design and site development
- Proven leadership experience managing design teams and projects
- Strong knowledge of site design standards, codes, and best practices
- Proficiency with civil design software and CAD platforms
- Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field experience
