About the Role
West Shore Home is seeking motivated Carpenter Trainees to support our Residential Remodeler teams. As a trainee, you'll work on real home improvement projects while developing the essential skills and knowledge needed to succeed as a carpenter. This role combines hands-on training with classroom instruction, preparing you for a rewarding career in the construction trades.
What You'll Do
- Assist experienced carpenters on residential remodeling projects featuring bathrooms, flooring, windows, and doors
- Learn proper measurement, cutting, and installation techniques under direct supervision
- Perform demolition, framing, and finishing work on home improvement projects
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following all company safety standards
- Transport and organize materials and tools at job sites
- Complete structured carpentry training covering fundamentals, building codes, and safety protocols
What We're Looking For
- Genuine interest in learning residential carpentry and building trade skills
- Physical capability to perform manual labor, lift heavy materials, and work at heights
- Dependability and ability to arrive on time for a Monday–Friday schedule starting at 6:30 AM
- Strong work ethic and openness to mentorship and structured training
- Basic problem-solving ability and attention to detail in your work
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
