Parsons Corporation is hiring a Fiber Quality Inspector for our Druid, Baltimore facility. This is a full-time position where you'll play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of fiber optic cable and component quality across our operations.
About the Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented professional to join our quality assurance team. In this role, you'll be responsible for inspecting fiber optic products, equipment, and installations to ensure they meet rigorous industry standards and customer specifications. You'll work directly with our engineering and production teams to identify quality issues, document findings, and drive continuous improvement across our operations.
What You'll Do
- Conduct thorough visual and technical inspections of fiber optic cables, connections, and components
- Operate specialized testing equipment to measure fiber quality, signal integrity, and performance metrics
- Document inspection results and maintain detailed quality control records
- Identify defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and specifications
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and calibration
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in quality inspection, quality assurance, or related manufacturing roles
- Knowledge of fiber optic technology and telecommunications equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to read technical documentation and understand specifications
- Proficiency with inspection tools and testing equipment
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
