About the Role
We're seeking a board-certified cardiologist with advanced heart failure expertise to lead patient care within our growing cardiology department. You'll manage a diverse population of heart failure patients, from those requiring optimization of medical therapy to those evaluated for advanced interventions and transplantation.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate and manage patients with advanced heart failure using evidence-based protocols
- Coordinate diagnostic testing and interpret imaging results to guide clinical decisions
- Optimize pharmacologic and device-based therapies for heart failure patients
- Evaluate candidates for advanced therapies, including cardiac transplantation and mechanical support
- Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgery, interventional cardiology, and other specialists to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Participate in clinical rounds, case conferences, and departmental quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
What We're Looking For
- MD or DO degree and current medical licensure in Texas
- Board certification in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease
- Fellowship training in advanced heart failure and/or cardiac transplantation
- Strong clinical knowledge of contemporary heart failure management strategies
- Experience with device management and familiarity with mechanical circulatory support
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
