Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay is seeking a full-time Facilities Support Technician to join our team in Saint Petersburg. This hands-on position offers an opportunity to play a crucial role in maintaining our facility's operational safety and comfort for the families we serve.
About the Role
As Facilities Support Technician for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay, you'll support the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our Saint Petersburg facility in Pinellas County. Working directly under the Facilities Operations Manager and collaborating closely with our Building Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you'll execute maintenance work orders, address facility needs, and ensure our spaces remain safe and well-maintained for residents and visitors.
What You'll Do
- Execute assigned work orders with accuracy and attention to quality
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns
- Support repair and upkeep of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems under supervision
- Keep building and grounds clean, organized, and safe for all occupants
- Document maintenance activities and communicate findings to supervisors
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents
- Properly store and maintain tools and maintenance equipment
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or related maintenance field
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, or proven willingness to learn
- Comfort using hand tools and common maintenance equipment safely
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Clear communication skills and collaborative approach to teamwork
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
