About the Role
As a Greenskeeper at Monarch Bay Golf Course, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of turf quality and course aesthetics. This full-time position requires attention to detail, technical expertise with turf management, and a strong work ethic. You'll work both independently and as part of our grounds maintenance team to ensure the course remains in pristine condition year-round.
What You'll Do
- Maintain fairways, greens, tees, and rough areas through regular mowing, edging, and trimming
- Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment including mowers, aerators, and irrigation systems
- Monitor turf health and implement pest and disease management strategies
- Manage irrigation schedules and adjust watering based on weather conditions and course needs
- Prepare and set up course for daily play, including pin placement and course signage
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including tree and shrub care
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Collaborate with the grounds crew and management to achieve operational goals
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Greenskeeper or golf course grounds maintenance professional
- Strong knowledge of turf management, grass types, and seasonal maintenance practices
- Proficiency operating grounds maintenance equipment
- Understanding of irrigation systems and basic troubleshooting
- Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
