About the Role
As a Lube Technician, you'll deliver critical preventative maintenance services that customers depend on. You'll combine technical expertise with customer interaction skills to explain service options, answer questions about vehicle care, and build loyalty with repeat clients. Working in a fast-paced service environment, you'll manage multiple vehicles daily while maintaining quality standards and attention to detail.
What You'll Do
- Perform complete oil drain and filter replacement services according to manufacturer specifications
- Apply lubricants to chassis fittings and suspension points to reduce wear and extend component life
- Conduct fluid inspections, including transmission, coolant, brake fluid, and power steering systems
- Execute coolant exchanges and refill services to maintain proper engine temperature control
- Adjust tire pressure and perform basic tire inspections for safety and fuel efficiency
- Clean windshields and perform other light exterior maintenance tasks
- Help customers select appropriate oil grades and understand available service packages
- Process service payments and maintain accurate documentation for each vehicle
- Communicate service history and maintenance recommendations to customers
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience as a lube technician, quick lube technician, or related automotive service role
- Knowledge of different motor oil types and fluid specifications
- Ability to follow service procedures accurately and work safely around vehicles and equipment
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly
- Reliability, attention to detail, and the physical capability to work in an active environment
- Valid driver's license and ability to move vehicles as needed for service
