About the Role

As an On-Call LVMT & Bioskills Lab Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the operational excellence of our educational laboratory facilities. Working part-time on an on-call basis, you'll support our instructors, educators, and program coordinators in delivering high-quality continuing education courses, conferences, and training programs that connect professionals with the latest advancements in research and technology.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and maintain bioskills laboratory equipment, workspace, and facilities
• Assist with live vertebrate model handling, care, and preparation for educational demonstrations
• Support instructors during hands-on continuing education courses and training programs
• Ensure proper sanitation, sterilization, and storage of laboratory instruments and materials
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of laboratory activities and inventory
• Follow all safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and institutional guidelines
• Respond to on-call requests to ensure laboratory readiness for scheduled programs

What We're Looking For

• Experience or demonstrated competency as a laboratory technician or in bioskills lab support
• Knowledge of live vertebrate model handling, care, and safety protocols
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment, sterilization, and facility maintenance
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with educators and staff
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance in an educational laboratory environment
• Flexibility to respond to on-call scheduling needs
