About the Role

As Oracle Student Financial Aid Technical Lead, you'll serve as the go-to technical authority on student financial aid system implementations and optimization. You'll own the technical architecture, guide a team of engineers through complex implementations, and ensure solutions deliver real impact for higher education clients navigating the ever-changing landscape of federal and institutional financial aid requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Lead technical design and configuration of Oracle systems supporting student financial aid operations, from needs assessment through go-live and optimization
  • Mentor and supervise technical team members, setting standards for code quality, system architecture, and problem-solving
  • Partner with higher education stakeholders to understand financial aid workflows, compliance requirements, and institutional priorities
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, optimize system performance, and implement best practices across financial aid platforms
  • Design solutions that streamline FAFSA processing, aid packaging, verification workflows, and reporting across institutional systems
  • Oversee knowledge transfer, documentation, and training to ensure client success and system sustainability
  • Contribute to project planning, timelines, and resource allocation for student financial aid engagements

What We're Looking For

  • Proven technical leadership experience with Oracle EBS, PeopleSoft, or related enterprise financial systems in higher education
  • Deep understanding of student financial aid processes, federal regulations (FAFSA, Title IV), and institutional aid systems
  • Track record managing technical teams and mentoring engineers through complex implementations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to design scalable solutions for enterprise environments
  • Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to higher education finance stakeholders
  • Experience with system integration, data migration, and implementation project management
