DBL Law, one of the largest law firms in the Louisville and Greater Cincinnati region and the largest Northern Kentucky-based firm, seeks a Banking and Transactional Associate Attorney to join our practice in Covington, Kenton County. This is a full-time position ideal for an attorney ready to build a career in banking and transactional law.
About the Role
You'll work on a diverse range of commercial banking and transaction matters, providing strategic counsel to clients navigating complex financial transactions. This position offers mentorship, meaningful client relationships, and the opportunity to develop deep expertise in banking and finance law within a collegial, growth-focused environment.
What You'll Do
- Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, credit facilities, and transaction documentation
- Conduct due diligence investigations and manage document review processes
- Advise clients on regulatory compliance, risk management, and transactional structuring
- Coordinate transaction closings and communication with lenders, borrowers, and regulatory authorities
- Develop client relationships and provide practical legal analysis on banking matters
- Support the growth and evolution of the banking and transactional law practice
What We're Looking For
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Active Kentucky bar license or ability to obtain one
- Strong legal writing, analytical thinking, and communication abilities
- Detail-oriented with solid organizational and project management skills
- Genuine interest in banking, commercial transactions, and finance law
- Team-oriented professional committed to client service excellence
