Childcare Staff – 4 hrs/day

Ozark R-VI School District is hiring a full-time Childcare Staff member for our Early Childhood Center. This four-hour daily position offers a meaningful opportunity to provide quality care and developmental support to young learners in a school-based childcare environment.

About the Role

As Childcare Staff at Ozark R-VI School District's Early Childhood Center, you'll provide direct care and educational support to young children during daily four-hour shifts. Working collaboratively with lead teachers, you'll foster a safe, nurturing environment where children learn, grow, and develop social and academic skills.

What You'll Do

• Deliver hands-on childcare and developmental support in the Early Childhood Center classroom
• Engage children through age-appropriate activities, play-based learning, and structured routines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom space
• Build positive relationships with children and support their emotional development
• Communicate with parents and guardians about child progress, activities, and daily experiences
• Collaborate with teaching staff to implement learning objectives and classroom goals
• Support transitions and supervision during dismissal and routine care activities

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED, or a minimum of two years of documented experience in a licensed childcare setting
• Willingness to obtain or demonstrated commitment to maintaining a Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate
• Genuine passion for early childhood education and child development
• Ability to work as a collaborative team member in a school environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with children and families
• Ability to stay focused and responsive during four-hour daily shifts
