About the Role

As our Summer Day Camp Director, you will oversee all aspects of a traditional day camp program for young campers. This is a leadership position where you'll manage daily operations, coordinate staff and activities, and create a safe, engaging environment where children thrive and develop confidence. Your vision and leadership will shape the camper experience from arrival to dismissal each day.

What You'll Do

• Plan, organize, and execute daily camp activities and programming that engage elementary-aged children
• Supervise and support camp staff to ensure quality program delivery and a positive team culture
• Manage camp schedules, resources, and logistics to maximize program efficiency
• Maintain a safe, inclusive environment that meets all health and safety standards
• Communicate regularly with parents, the club, and staff to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged
• Handle administrative responsibilities including attendance tracking, incident reporting, and documentation
• Foster a camp culture that prioritizes fun, learning, and community for every child

What We're Looking For

• Proven leadership experience in youth-serving programs, camps, recreation, or education
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with children, staff, and families
• Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate programming for elementary school students
• Flexibility and a positive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before your start date)
• Genuine passion for creating memorable summer experiences and helping children grow in confidence
