Lincoln County R-III School District seeks a dedicated Science Teacher for Troy South Middle School in Moscow Mills, Lincoln County. About the Role
As a Science Teacher at Troy South Middle School, you'll design and deliver engaging science instruction that fosters both academic growth and personal development. You'll build a classroom culture where students feel supported to explore concepts, ask questions, and develop a genuine enthusiasm for science. Working with middle school students, you'll create flexible, standards-aligned lessons that meet diverse learning needs and encourage every student to succeed.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement comprehensive science curricula that engage middle school students
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and personal growth
- Build meaningful relationships with students and establish strong rapport to motivate academic progress
- Assess student understanding through formative and summative assessments; adjust instruction accordingly
- Plan hands-on labs, demonstrations, and activities that bring science concepts to life
- Communicate regularly with families about student progress and classroom expectations
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum alignment and school initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Valid Missouri teaching certification in Science or equivalent credentials
- Strong subject matter knowledge in science disciplines
