Hancock Whitney Bank is seeking a full-time Mortgage Loan Originator in Gulfport, Harrison County to help borrowers achieve homeownership and build lasting financial partnerships.

About the Role

As a Mortgage Loan Originator at Hancock Whitney Bank, you'll serve as the trusted advisor for customers navigating the home financing process. You'll manage the complete application journey, from initial consultation through closing coordination, delivering personalized service and competitive mortgage solutions that match each borrower's financial goals and circumstances.

What You'll Do

• Consult one-on-one with prospective borrowers to understand their financial situation, purchase timeline, and home financing needs
• Present and explain mortgage products—fixed-rate, adjustable-rate, FHA, VA, and conventional options—to help clients select the right loan
• Collect and verify financial documentation including pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, and credit information
• Prepare complete loan applications and submit them to underwriting with all required supporting materials
• Guide borrowers through the underwriting and approval process, answering questions and resolving any concerns
• Develop and nurture a strong pipeline of qualified prospects through relationship building and community engagement
• Maintain strict compliance with federal lending regulations, Fair Lending standards, and bank policies
• Meet individual loan production goals while maintaining high customer satisfaction

What We're Looking For

• Current or ability to obtain mortgage loan originator licensing and required credentials
• Professional experience in mortgage lending, loan origination, or related sales and financial services
• Solid understanding of mortgage products, underwriting criteria, and lending regulations
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly
• Strong organizational and attention to detail in managing documentation and compliance requirements
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and managing multiple client relationships
• Integrity, professionalism, and commitment to ethical lending practices
• Comfort with loan origination software and standard banking technology platforms
