About the Role
As a Direct Support Professional, you'll be at the heart of person-centered care, working directly with individuals in residential settings to support their daily lives, personal growth, and community participation. You'll build meaningful relationships while helping people develop skills, maintain health and safety, and experience the dignity and autonomy that comes with genuine support.
What You'll Do
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household management
- Support medication oversight and health monitoring as directed by care plans and supervising staff
- Facilitate community engagement and recreational activities that align with individual interests and goals
- Communicate with families, care coordinators, and team members to ensure consistent, collaborative support
- Help individuals develop and practice life skills that promote independence and self-sufficiency
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to care, activities, and observations
- Respond to immediate needs and challenges with compassion, patience, and problem-solving
- Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive living environment
What We're Looking For

- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with care teams and family members
- Physical capability to assist with mobility, transfers, and personal care tasks
- Reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic in a direct-care setting
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, or rotating shifts as needed
- Willingness to learn and adapt to individual needs and preferences
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred)
- Ability to pass background screening and comply with health requirements
