Teacher- Math

Join Union Public School District as a Mathematics Teacher serving grades 6-7 in Tulsa, Tulsa County. This is a full-time, 9-10 month temporary position based at our 6th/7th Grade Center, where you'll inspire student success in mathematics and build strong classroom communities.

About the Role

As a Mathematics Teacher, you'll play a central role in developing student competency and confidence in math. You'll work with middle-grade learners to deepen conceptual understanding, foster problem-solving skills, and prepare them for advanced coursework. What You'll Do

• Design and deliver engaging mathematics instruction aligned with Oklahoma academic standards for grades 6-7
• Create a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, collaboration, and mathematical reasoning
• Assess student progress through varied methods and provide meaningful feedback to support growth
• Prepare lessons, assignments, and assessments that meet diverse student learning needs
• Maintain accurate records and communicate student progress with families and colleagues
• Participate in professional development and collaborate with school teams to support student achievement

What We're Looking For

• Valid Oklahoma teacher certification in Mathematics or equivalent credential
• Strong knowledge of middle-grades mathematics content and effective teaching strategies
• Ability to engage and motivate students in learning mathematics
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Commitment to student success and collaborative school culture
