Field Technician

Join EchoStar as a Field Technician in Old Sixth Ward, Houston, and play a direct role in delivering connectivity solutions to customers across the region. This is a full-time position with an hourly rate of $21.50.

About the Role

EchoStar is seeking a skilled Field Technician to work in the Houston area, bringing hands-on expertise to our growing customer base. In this position, you'll visit customer locations to install and set up satellite television systems, smart home equipment, mobile devices, and related services. This is an on-site role requiring travel throughout Old Sixth Ward and surrounding communities to serve our diverse customer portfolio.

What You'll Do

• Install and configure satellite TV equipment, receivers, and related hardware at customer locations
• Perform diagnostic troubleshooting and repair work on existing systems to restore service
• Set up and activate smart home technology and installation services
• Test and verify all equipment functionality before completing each service call
• Provide clear technical guidance to customers on system operation and care
• Maintain accurate service records and document all work completed
• Travel between multiple job sites throughout the Houston area

What We're Looking For

• Experience with installation and troubleshooting of electronic equipment or telecommunications systems
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently across multiple service calls
• Professional customer service skills and a commitment to high-quality installations
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet customer availability
• Physical ability to lift equipment and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed
