Central Denials Account Rep- Full Tiime, Days, 100% Onsite

Guidehouse Careers is seeking a dedicated Central Denials Account Rep for a full-time, days-based position in Birmingham, Jefferson County. In this role, you'll take ownership of complex patient account disputes and drive resolution through systematic analysis and follow-up—playing a key part in ensuring clean accounts and sustained revenue cycle performance.

About the Role

As a Central Denials Account Representative, you will manage the complete lifecycle of disputed patient accounts and claim denials. This is an on-site position with no travel required, allowing you to focus fully on detailed analytical work and stakeholder communication.

What You'll Do

• Perform comprehensive account reviews to identify the root causes of claim denials and account balance discrepancies
• Process and reconcile multiple file formats, including 835 electronic remittance advice files, 227 electronic claim status files, UB-04 institutional claim forms, and 1500 professional claim forms
• Analyze medical records and claim documentation to determine appropriate corrective actions and resubmission strategies
• Document findings and resolution steps, maintaining accurate records for audit and compliance purposes
• Escalate complex or aged denials to appropriate departments and track resolution status
• Communicate with insurance carriers, providers, and internal teams to gather missing information and expedite account settlement

What We're Looking For

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously
• Attention to detail with the ability to review complex claim documentation and identify discrepancies
• Familiarity with healthcare claims processing, medical coding, or patient billing preferred
• Proficiency with standard office software and healthcare information systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet consistent daily targets
