About the Role
Husch Blackwell is a full-service litigation and business law firm with offices nationwide, representing clients in complex civil matters with both domestic and international dimensions. Our Austin office seeks an experienced paralegal to strengthen our mass tort practice group. You'll work alongside attorneys managing high-volume litigation, coordinating discovery, and advancing cases through all procedural stages.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and manage document discovery, including organization, review, and production systems
- Prepare and maintain case files, pleadings, motions, and court filings for mass tort claims
- Communicate with co-counsel, defendants, and external parties across multiple jurisdictions
- Track critical deadlines, statute of limitations dates, and procedural requirements
- Gather and summarize client information, medical records, and factual evidence
- Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit compilation and deposition support
- Maintain case databases and litigation support software for tracking active claims
- Support settlement negotiations and resolution documentation
What We're Looking For
- Paralegal experience in mass tort, personal injury, or complex civil litigation
- Familiarity with multi-party litigation and coordinated case management
- Proficiency with litigation support software and legal databases
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in document-intensive matters
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities independently
- Professional communication skills with attorneys, clients, and opposing counsel
- Knowledge of civil procedure and mass tort claim processes
- Paralegal certification or equivalent professional experience preferred
