Join American Custom Drying as a Spray Dryer Operator in Mountain Top, Pennsylvania. This is a full-time position where you'll operate specialized spray drying equipment in our contract manufacturing facility serving the food and chemical processing industries.
About the Role
American Custom Drying specializes in contract manufacturing and toll processing for food and chemical companies. As our Spray Dryer Operator, you'll be responsible for running spray drying systems that transform liquid materials into precise powder products. You'll work directly with a shift supervisor, manage the day-to-day operation of drying equipment, and help coordinate material handling throughout the production process.
What You'll Do
- Operate spray drying equipment following established standard operating procedures
- Monitor equipment performance and take measurements during production runs
- Prepare materials and manage feed systems according to customer specifications
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and cleaning between batches
- Help coordinate material intake, processing, and packaging operations
- Maintain accurate production logs and documentation
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members across shifts
- Adhere to safety protocols and facility hygiene standards
What We're Looking For
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort operating industrial equipment
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality in manufacturing
- Reliability and willingness to work assigned shift schedules
- Ability to lift and carry materials as needed for the role
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Prior equipment operation or manufacturing experience is a plus
