About the Role

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer to drive the design, development, and deployment of sophisticated software solutions that advance our aerospace systems. You will own the complete lifecycle of challenging technical initiatives—from architectural design through implementation and optimization—focused on delivering systems that meet aerospace industry standards for performance, safety, and reliability. Reporting directly to our Senior R&D Manager, you'll collaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams from our Hamel facility.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement robust software architectures for aerospace applications
• Develop high-performance solutions that enhance system reliability and operational safety
• Collaborate with hardware and systems engineers to integrate software with aerospace platforms
• Lead code reviews, testing, and quality assurance processes
• Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and optimize existing systems
• Contribute to technical specifications and documentation for aerospace projects

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience developing software for aerospace, aviation, or safety-critical systems
• Strong background in systems design and software architecture
• Proficiency in languages commonly used in embedded or real-time systems (C, C++, or similar)
• Deep understanding of software reliability, testing methodologies, and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Familiarity with aerospace standards and certification requirements is a plus
