Project Analyst

The MITRE Corporation is seeking a full-time Project Analyst in Fort George G Meade, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. As a purpose-driven not-for-profit organization, MITRE partners with government agencies and the public sector to solve critical challenges affecting national security and public safety. In this hands-on analytical role, you'll support project execution, drive data-informed decision-making, and contribute directly to initiatives that matter.

About the Role

This Project Analyst position is based on-site in the Fort George G Meade area. You'll serve as a bridge between project teams, stakeholders, and management, translating complex technical and operational requirements into actionable deliverables. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will ensure projects stay on track, budgets remain managed, and milestones are achieved.

What You'll Do

• Gather, organize, and analyze project data to track progress, identify risks, and support informed decision-making
• Prepare comprehensive reports, status summaries, and presentations for stakeholders and leadership
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to collect requirements, clarify scope, and resolve project challenges
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resources; escalate issues and recommend mitigation strategies
• Maintain project documentation and ensure accuracy of records and artifacts
• Support process improvements and best practices adoption across teams

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, management, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools or platforms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and organizational levels
• Demonstrated project management or business analysis experience preferred
• Ability to obtain or maintain a security clearance (may be required for this role)
