Bentwood Elementary, part of Olathe Public Schools, is hiring a part-time Lunch Aide to support our school dining program in Overland Park, Johnson County. This 3-hour daily position plays a key role in delivering excellent nutrition services and creating a welcoming mealtime experience for our elementary students.
About the Role
As a Lunch Aide at Bentwood Elementary, you'll be the friendly face students encounter during lunch service. Working under the Principal's supervision, you'll uphold our nutrition program standards while helping students navigate the lunch line in an organized, positive manner. Your work directly supports federal, state, and local food service guidelines and contributes to a safe, inclusive dining environment.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary contact for students moving through the lunch service line each day
- Support the daily operations of our elementary school nutrition program
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local food service standards and procedures
- Foster a welcoming, orderly dining environment for all students
- Collaborate with kitchen and cafeteria staff to ensure smooth, efficient service
- Promote a positive school culture during mealtimes
