Valuations Analyst

House Buyers of America is hiring a Valuations Analyst in Virginia Beach to join our acquisitions team. In this role, you'll provide critical market analysis and property valuations that drive acquisition decisions for residential properties throughout our market.

About the Role

As a Valuations Analyst at House Buyers of America, you'll be the analytical backbone of our acquisitions process. Your valuations directly influence which properties we pursue, what we offer, and the renovation scope we establish. You'll work closely with our acquisitions team to evaluate deals and provide the market intelligence that guides our investment strategy.

What You'll Do

• Analyze prospective residential properties to determine reliable, defensible market valuations
• Research comparable sales, market trends, and neighborhood data to support your assessments
• Develop detailed scope-of-work estimates for properties under consideration for acquisition
• Prepare valuation reports that inform go/no-go acquisition decisions
• Evaluate property conditions and identify renovation or repair needs that affect value
• Collaborate with acquisitions managers to refine deal analysis and support investor relations
• Maintain accuracy and consistency in valuation methodology across your portfolio

What We're Looking For

• Experience in real estate valuation, appraisal support, or comparable market analysis
• Strong understanding of residential property markets and valuation methodologies
• Ability to gather and synthesize market data from multiple sources
• Attention to detail and commitment to analytical accuracy
• Proficiency with real estate data platforms and Microsoft Excel
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Full-time availability with reliability and accountability
