Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar in Plant City, Florida is hiring a full-time Host to greet guests, manage our dining room flow, and set the tone for exceptional visits at our Hillsborough County location.

About the Role

As a Host, you'll be the first and last impression our guests receive—the welcoming face that starts every dining experience on the right note. This full-time position is based at our Plant City restaurant, where you'll coordinate with our entire team to keep the dining room running smoothly and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Welcome guests with genuine hospitality and seat them promptly at available tables
• Manage the host stand, reservation system, and wait list throughout each shift
• Monitor table availability and communicate timing with servers and kitchen staff
• Answer phones, respond to dining inquiries, and handle special seating requests
• Keep the entry area clean, organized, and inviting for arriving guests
• Work closely with servers and bartenders to optimize table flow during peak service
• Handle modifications to reservations and walk-in traffic with professionalism

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Prior hospitality, food service, or customer service experience a plus
• Excellent communication skills and genuine passion for guest satisfaction
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Comfortable operating point-of-sale systems and reservation software
• Strong team player with the ability to manage high-volume environments calmly
• Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and demeanor
