About the Role

As a Certified Orthopedic Surgical Technician, you'll work under the direction of the surgical nursing team to prepare operating rooms, manage surgical instruments and equipment, and provide real-time support during orthopedic and spine procedures. You'll be the backbone of the surgical team, ensuring every case runs smoothly and safely from setup through recovery preparation.

What You'll Do

• Set up orthopedic and spine operating rooms with proper sterile technique and specialized equipment
• Maintain the sterile field and handle surgical instruments with precision throughout procedures
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments and supplies efficiently during complex cases
• Manage equipment operation, including power tools and imaging devices used in orthopedic surgery
• Ensure accurate instrument counts and specimen handling per protocol
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and the entire surgical team
• Comply with sterilization standards, safety protocols, and infection control procedures

What We're Looking For

• Current Certified Surgical Technician (CST) credential or equivalent certification
• Proven experience in orthopedic or spine surgical environments
• Strong knowledge of orthopedic instruments, implants, and specialized equipment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and manage the physical demands of surgery
• Attention to detail and commitment to sterile protocol
• Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a team-oriented surgical setting
• Current BLS certification preferred
