VP, Finance Excellence and Transformation

Amentum is seeking a Vice President of Finance Excellence and Transformation for a full-time position in Concord, Merrimack County. In this leadership role, you'll drive financial strategy, operational excellence, and transformational change across a global engineering and technology organization serving the US government and its allies.

About the Role

As VP of Finance Excellence and Transformation, you'll lead the finance organization in delivering robust financial operations, strategic planning, and sustainable value creation. This role combines financial stewardship with transformational change leadership, positioning you at the forefront of organizational strategy and execution.

What You'll Do

• Establish and oversee financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes that enable enterprise-wide decision making
• Drive efficiency improvements and cost optimization across finance and related business functions
• Partner with business leaders to develop financial strategies aligned with company objectives
• Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
• Lead digital transformation and modernization of financial systems and processes
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements
• Communicate financial performance, insights, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership

What We're Looking For

• 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a VP-level or equivalent executive role
• Proven success managing large, complex finance organizations and leading transformational change initiatives
• Strong expertise in financial planning, analysis, reporting, and business partnering
• Experience in defense, aerospace, government contracting, or mission-critical industries highly valued
• Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
• CPA or advanced finance certification preferred
• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline preferred
