Join Honeywell as a Senior Applications and Systems Sales Engineer, based in Tarrytown, Travis County, supporting our advanced physical security solutions. In this full-time role, you'll combine deep technical expertise with consultative selling to drive adoption of OnGuard, NetBox, and Elements across enterprise and mid-market accounts.
About the Role
You'll function as the technical backbone of Honeywell's physical security sales organization, bridging the gap between customer needs and our comprehensive security platform capabilities. Working alongside regional sales teams, value-added resellers, and security consultants, you'll translate complex requirements into tailored solutions that protect critical infrastructure, people, and assets.
What You'll Do
- Conduct technical discovery with prospects and existing customers to understand security architectures, compliance mandates, and operational challenges
- Architect solutions using OnGuard, NetBox, and Elements that align with customer business objectives and technical constraints
- Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept validations to stakeholders at all levels
- Support the sales cycle from opportunity identification through proposal development and contract close
- Collaborate with implementation teams, VARs, and systems integrators to ensure seamless project execution
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities based on customer security maturity and evolving threats
- Stay current with industry standards, competitive offerings, and emerging security technologies
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a sales engineer, systems engineer, or technical solutions specialist in physical security, access control, or video management
- Strong background with OnGuard, NetBox, Elements, or comparable enterprise security platforms
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical business buyers and technical IT teams alike
- Consultative selling mindset with demonstrated success closing enterprise deals
- Knowledge of security architecture, compliance frameworks, and integration best practices
- Excellent presentation, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
