Blissway, a venture-backed startup transforming tolling and highway safety, is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead hardware innovation in our Denver, Colorado office. You'll design and develop cutting-edge electrical systems that power the next generation of intelligent toll collection infrastructure.
About the Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Blissway, you'll take ownership of electrical architecture and hardware design across our suite of products. Working within a fast-moving engineering team, you'll bridge deep tech, IoT, and hardware challenges in an industry that impacts millions of drivers daily. This is a full-time position based in Denver, Colorado.
What You'll Do
- Design, prototype, and validate electrical systems and circuit architectures for hardware products
- Lead electrical engineering efforts from concept through production deployment
- Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and AI/ML engineers to integrate hardware with software and intelligent systems
- Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure reliability and safety standards
- Contribute to technical strategy and guide junior engineers on best practices
- Support manufacturing partners and field deployment teams
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of professional electrical engineering experience, with proven expertise in hardware design and development
- Deep knowledge of circuit design, embedded systems, power management, and PCB layout
- Experience with real-world hardware deployment, field testing, and production optimization
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in a startup environment with evolving requirements
- Excellent communication and ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience
