Civitas Senior Living is hiring a Qualified Medication Administration Person (QMAP) for our Colorado Springs community in El Paso County. This is a full-time position where you'll provide compassionate medication management and direct care to our seniors, making a tangible difference in their daily lives and health outcomes.
About the Role
As a QMAP at our Colorado Springs senior living community, you'll be at the heart of our commitment to excellent resident care. This role combines hands-on medication administration with the relationship-building and compassion that define quality senior living. You'll work as part of a dedicated care team supporting older adults in a community-focused environment.
What You'll Do
- Administer medications to residents according to prescriptions and physician orders, maintaining strict accuracy in dosage and timing
- Maintain detailed, compliant medication administration records and documentation
- Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and potential side effects, reporting concerns to the nursing or medical team
- Manage medication storage, inventory, and security in accordance with state regulations and facility protocols
- Communicate clearly with residents, families, and healthcare team members about medication-related needs and observations
- Support resident comfort, dignity, and safety in all care interactions
- Follow all applicable healthcare regulations, HIPAA requirements, and facility policies
What We're Looking For
- Current QMAP certification or immediate eligibility to obtain certification in Colorado
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all medication-related tasks
- Genuine compassion for seniors and dedication to person-centered care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and care teams
- Reliability and accountability in a structured healthcare environment
