As a Criminal Law Associate Attorney, you'll deliver direct representation to individuals facing criminal charges, working across a range of case types and complexity levels. This is hands-on legal work where your advocacy directly impacts your clients' futures.

What You'll Do

• Represent clients in criminal defense matters from initial consultation through trial, plea negotiation, or appeal
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare written motions, briefs, and court documents
• Investigate cases, interview witnesses, and develop defense strategies
• Appear in court and advocate on behalf of clients at hearings and trials
• Manage client relationships with professionalism, transparency, and compassion
• Collaborate with co-counsel and support staff to build strong cases
• Stay current with criminal law developments and case law in North Carolina and South Carolina

What We're Looking For

• Juris Doctor degree and active bar license in North Carolina, South Carolina, or ability to obtain admission
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to criminal defense and client-centered representation
• Professional integrity and sound judgment
• Prior criminal defense experience is valued but not required for the right candidate
