About the Role

As a Teacher Assistant at Kandy Kane Pre-School, you'll work alongside our teaching staff to deliver quality early childhood education and care. You'll help foster a warm, supportive classroom atmosphere while assisting with age-appropriate learning activities, classroom routines, and behavioral guidance. Your role is essential to maintaining the structure, safety, and educational excellence our families expect.

What You'll Do

• Support lead teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering classroom instruction and activities
• Supervise children during classroom time, transitions, meals, and outdoor play
• Assist with curriculum implementation, helping children develop early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment following school health and safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with parents and families about children's progress and daily experiences
• Support the Director and teaching team in fostering a collaborative, professional work environment
• Respond to children's individual needs, providing patient guidance and encouragement

What We're Looking For

• A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth
• Strong communication and listening skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Patience, reliability, and a positive, nurturing approach to child care
• Ability to follow classroom procedures and school policies consistently
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant early childhood experience or coursework valued
• Willingness to complete background checks and other school requirements
