Ervin Cable is hiring a Manager Quality Control Field for our Lees Summit, Jackson County location. This full-time role offers an opportunity to lead quality assurance efforts across construction projects and build a strong technical team dedicated to excellence.
About the Role
As Manager Quality Control Field, you'll oversee quality control operations for assigned projects, ensuring every installation meets both Ervin Cable's rigorous standards and customer specifications. You'll manage and coordinate inspection teams, drive continuous improvement in our quality processes, and maintain the high standards that distinguish our work in the field.
What You'll Do
- Direct and supervise Lead QC Inspectors and QC Inspectors across project sites
- Conduct comprehensive quality control inspections of outside plant construction, equipment installations, and infrastructure work
- Verify that all work meets established quality standards, company specifications, and customer requirements
- Document inspection results, identify deficiencies, and coordinate corrective actions
- Communicate quality findings and status to project management and stakeholders
- Monitor equipment use and adherence to safety and quality protocols on the job site
- Implement quality improvement initiatives and best practices across teams
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in quality control, construction management, or field operations
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
- Strong knowledge of construction quality standards and industry practices
- Ability to read technical plans, specifications, and quality documentation
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
- Ability to work in outdoor construction environments
