Suncore is actively recruiting an experienced Grade Crew Foreman to lead grading and site preparation operations in Meridian, Ada County. This full-time position offers the opportunity to oversee a skilled team, direct heavy equipment operations, and ensure precise execution of grading work that forms the foundation for paving and concrete projects.
About the Role
As Grade Crew Foreman at Suncore, you'll take charge of all grading operations on assigned projects. You'll work directly with crews to manage daily activities, coordinate equipment placement, and maintain strict quality standards. Your leadership will ensure that site preparation meets project specifications and timelines, setting the stage for downstream construction phases.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and coordinate grading teams through all phases of site preparation
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, skid steers, and dozers
- Interpret project plans and translate them into precise field operations
- Monitor grading quality and make real-time adjustments to meet project standards
- Communicate project progress and challenges to project management
- Maintain safe work practices and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Manage equipment maintenance logs and identify equipment needs
- Prepare sites for concrete and paving work with accurate grading and drainage
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Grade Crew Foreman or similar leadership role in heavy construction
- Advanced operator skills on excavators, loaders, skid steers, and dozers
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and site specifications
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
- Knowledge of grading techniques, site preparation, and drainage principles
- Safety-focused mindset with understanding of OSHA standards and best practices
- Reliability, attention to detail, and strong communication skills
