Radiology/Imaging – X-Ray

Join MUSC Regional Medical Center- Orangeburg as an X-Ray Technician, a part-time position at our Pecan Way Terrace facility in Orangeburg County. In this hands-on clinical role, you'll operate diagnostic imaging equipment and partner with physicians to deliver accurate radiographic studies that inform patient care decisions.

About the Role

As an X-Ray Technician at MUSC Regional Medical Center- Orangeburg, you'll provide essential diagnostic imaging services to patients across our healthcare system. This is a direct patient-facing position where technical skill, attention to detail, and compassion matter equally. You'll work in a supportive clinical environment committed to both diagnostic excellence and patient safety.

What You'll Do

• Operate radiographic equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images of patients' skeletal and soft tissue anatomy
• Position patients safely and effectively to obtain clinically useful images while minimizing radiation exposure
• Communicate clearly with patients about procedures, positioning requirements, and safety protocols before and during imaging
• Maintain meticulous records of imaging procedures, patient information, and radiation exposure levels
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and clinical staff to ensure imaging findings are accurately captured and documented
• Follow all radiation safety protocols and quality assurance standards to protect patients and staff
• Maintain radiographic equipment through daily quality checks and preventive care procedures

What We're Looking For

• Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with X-Ray specialty certification
• South Carolina medical license or equivalent state registration for radiologic technologists
• Demonstrated ability to operate diagnostic radiographic equipment with consistent technical accuracy
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently with diverse patient populations
• Commitment to radiation safety practices and patient-centered care
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team
