Kern Community College District is seeking a full-time Program Manager for Adult Education (COF) to lead program operations and drive student success. Based in California, you'll oversee day-to-day program activities while collaborating with leadership to deliver quality educational pathways for adult learners.
About the Role
As Program Manager for this Adult Education program, you'll serve as a key operational leader responsible for program administration, student support, and instructional quality. Working under the Programs Director or assigned supervisor, you'll manage the full lifecycle of program delivery while maintaining high standards and compliance with program requirements.
What You'll Do
- Direct daily program operations including course scheduling, staffing coordination, and resource planning
- Manage student enrollment, advising, and support services to foster completion and achievement
- Collaborate with instructors and staff to sustain program quality and academic standards
- Monitor program performance metrics and outcomes data to support continuous improvement
- Ensure adherence to funding guidelines and reporting requirements
- Coordinate across departments to support student transitions and educational pathways
- Address operational challenges and implement effective solutions
- Participate in curriculum development and institutional effectiveness initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in education, program administration, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience managing educational programs, student services, or operations
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse populations and teams
- Competency with data analysis, reporting systems, and standard business software
- Genuine commitment to supporting adult learners and advancing educational equity
