About the Role

As Lead Groundskeeper, you'll take charge of all irrigation infrastructure—from system design and installation to routine maintenance and troubleshooting. What You'll Do

• Install, repair, and maintain turf and ornamental irrigation systems, including controllers, sprinkler heads, valves, and piping
• Inspect irrigation equipment regularly to identify inefficiencies and prevent failures
• Adjust watering schedules and settings to optimize water usage and turf health across school grounds
• Troubleshoot system malfunctions and perform emergency repairs
• Order and manage parts, materials, and equipment inventory
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and system performance
• Collaborate with facilities and operations teams to plan groundskeeping projects
• Ensure compliance with local water regulations and district policies

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience maintaining and installing irrigation systems for commercial or institutional properties
• Strong knowledge of turf management, irrigation technology, and landscape maintenance
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment independently
• Proficiency reading blueprints and understanding irrigation system design
• Physical capability to perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Reliable transportation and willingness to work across multiple school sites
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Strong communication and organizational skills
