Retail Security Officer

Securitas is hiring a Retail Security Officer for our Salisbury, Wicomico County location. This is a part-time position where you'll maintain safety and security at our retail facility, protecting customers, team members, and merchandise every shift.

About the Role

As a Retail Security Officer with Securitas, you'll be the on-site security presence, monitoring our retail environment and responding to any incidents or concerns. You'll work collaboratively with store management to prevent loss, deter theft, and ensure a secure shopping experience. This hands-on position requires vigilance, quick thinking, and professional judgment.

What You'll Do

• Patrol retail premises, entrances, exits, and sales floor throughout your shift
• Monitor high-value merchandise and prevent unauthorized access or theft
• Maintain surveillance awareness and review security systems as needed
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents and customer concerns
• Protect the safety and security of employees and shoppers at all times
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in security logs
• Communicate effectively with store staff and management

What We're Looking For

• Professional, trustworthy individual with a clean background
• Strong situational awareness and attention to detail
• Ability to remain composed and take appropriate action in challenging situations
• Reliable and committed to consistent, quality work
• Valid government-issued ID and ability to pass a background check
• Maryland Security Guard License preferred, but not required
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
